On Wednesday, October 4, the Enforcement Directorate (ED), arrested Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP, Sanjay Singh, in connection with the Delhi liquor policy scam case. Prior to the arrest, Singh’s Delhi residence was raided by central agency. Singh’s arrest has become the third major arrest from the party in the liquor policy scam case, following those of Satyendar Jain’s and Manish Sisodia’s.

The raids against Sanjay Singh took place after he was named by businessman Dinesh Arora, an accused turned approver in the case. Arora claimed that he was introduced to Sisodia by Sanjay Singh.

Singh will be taken to the ED office wherein his statement will be recorded, and he is likely to be produced in a court on Thursday afternoon, and the agency will expectedly seek his custody.
