Washington/New Delhi: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, who is in the US, met with incoming US National Security Advisor Michael Waltz and discussed the bilateral relationship and current global issues with him.
Separately, EAM Jaishankar also concluded a two-day meeting with the Indian consul generals in the US.
In a post on his meeting with Waltz, the EAM said:
“Delighted to meet Rep. @michaelgwaltz this evening.
“Enjoyed a wide-ranging conversation on our bilateral partnership as well as current global issues. Look forward to working with him.”
Waltz, a House Representative from Florida, is co-chair of the House India caucus, highlighting his support for the US-India strategic partnership.
On his meeting with the Indian consul generals, EAM voiced confidence from the discussions held that the growth of the India-US partnership will be accelerated.
