Kolkata: Eastern Railway ramped up its freight loading by 16.19 per cent for the month of June 2023, compared to the same month last year, ER source said on Monday.
“Beside continuing on its upward trajectory of monthly freight business compared to last year, the revenue in the first quarter (April to June) of this fiscal year (2023-24) has been Rs.1845.01 Cr as against Rs.1581.73 Cr, it achieved in 2022 -23 during the corresponding period.
“This shows an incremental revenue of 16.65 pcn over the same period last year.” the official added
