New Delhi: The Election Commission of India is likely to announce dates for upcoming assembly polls today, sources said.
Assembly election are due in Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat as well as in Jammu and Kashmir where delimitation was recently concluded.
The ECI has not said which elections are likely to be announced today.
Teams of the poll panel have visited Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat to review poll preparedness in recent days.
Both Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh are presently ruled by BJP, with Congress as the main opposition. Aam Aadmi Party has made its entry in both states, making it a triangular contest.
