Kolkata: Enforcement Directorate (ED) probing the money trails of teachers’ recruitment scam in the government schools across West Bengal have summoned Tollywood actress- turned ruling TMC’s youth wing leader Saayoni Ghosh to appear before the investigation officials at the CGO Complex, Salt Lake, on Friday, official sources said on Wednesday.
The summon notice was served to Ghosh on Tuesday asking her to appear before the probing officials at the CGO complex at 11 am on June 30.
Sources said the ED had asked her to bring some documents during her appearance.
Trinamool Youth Congress president Saayoni Ghosh’s name cropped up during the interrogation of incarcerated TMC leader Kuntal Ghosh, one of the accused in the teachers’ recruitment scam, the sources added.
According to ED sources, after the arrest of Kuntal Ghosh, Saayoni Ghosh’s name came up while investigating financial matters.
Even in the sale of a property by Kuntal Ghosh had come up with her name, the sources added.
