Eknath Shinde resigns from Maharashtra CM post

Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde resigned from CM post here this morning.

Shinde tendered his resignation to Governor C P Radhakrishnan.

After the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance got a clear majority in Maharashtra Assembly election, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde tendered his resignation and paved the way to form a new government in Maharashtra.

The term of the current government is ending today.

Shinde along with Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar reached Governor CP Radhakrishnan’s residence, where he tendered his resignation.

Meanwhile, the Governor has asked Shinde to work as a caretaker till the formation of a new government in the state.
