Ex-Akali Min’s son among 5 arrested with drugs in Shimla

Chandigarh: Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Shimla Police arrested five people, including a Punjab Police constable, a son of former Shiromani Akali Dal Punjab cabinet minister and a woman, with drugs from a hotel room in Shimla.

According to a police statement on Wednesday, those arrested in the Tuesday night raid Prakash Singh Langha, son of former Punjab Minister Sucha Singh Langha, Punjab Police Constable Ajay Kumar, Avni, Shubham Kaushal and Baljindra.

The SIT also recovered 42.89 gm of heroin and a weighing machine from their possession.

A case was registered under the NDPS Act against the accused by Shimla Police.
