New Delhi: Former bureaucrat Gyanesh Kumar on Wednesday took charge as India’s 26th Chief Election Commissioner, succeeding Rajiv Kumar who served in the post for over two years.
Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar emphasized the importance of voting, describing it as the first step in serving the nation. He urged young citizens to shoulder the responsibility of voting.
Shri Kumar said that voting is the first step to serve the nation, so the citizens of India who have completed 18 years of age must become voters and vote.
