In a first, IOB launches ‘My Account My Name’ for SB account holders

Chennai: In a first of its kind initiative in the banking industry, the Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) on Monday Introduced “My Account My Name” for SB account customers.

A bank release here said now customers will get freedom to choose any name as their accounts number with IOB.

The schemes were launched from Central Office, Chennai, virtually by IOB MD and CEO Ajay Kumar Srivastava with all the 49 Regional Offices spread over India.

It said the customers will have the freedom to choose his/her/any name as his/her account number and same can be used for all transaction purposes.

The account name can be a combination of 7 letters only, or 7 numbers only or 7 alpha numeric only like, AJIT007, PRADHAN or 2424707 etc.

Customers will not be required to remember their 15 digits account numbers.

To begin with, this facility of “My Account My Name” is available for IOB SB HNI and IOB SB salary account customers.

IOB has also revamped all its saving account schemes, considering the necessity of all the segment of the society i.e., Salaried Class, HNI, Students, Pensioners, Senior citizens in line with present scenario.
