New Delhi: INDIA alliance will contest the Chandigarh Mayor elections with full force and register a decisive victory against Bharatiya Janata Party on January 18, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Raghav Chadha said on Tuesday here.

Addressing the media, the AAP leader said, “INDIA alliance will contest the Chandigarh Mayor elections with full strength and will win. This victory will resonate from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and from Manipur to Mumbai.”

“This will be an election where for the first time it will be INDIA vs BJP. The Chandigarh Mayor election which is scheduled to be held on January 18, will change the fate of the politics of this country. The scorecard for this match will be India-1 and BJP-0. The decisive victory on

January 18th will lay the foundation for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections,” he said.

“This election will serve as the curtain-raiser for the 2024 elections, setting the tone for future contests between INDIA and BJP. It will convey a message that when India comes together in an alliance, it is not just one plus one, but one plus eleven,” he added.

He further said, “This victory will send a strong message that when the people of India unite, they can overcome the ineffective BJP government. It will instill hope in people for liberation from the oppressive and ineffective BJP government.”

This win will serve as a beacon of hope and a reminder that unity can bring about positive change in every corner of the country, he added.

When asked about seat sharing, he said I limit my commentary on it. He further emphasised that the meeting that took place between Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was very significant.

“It has further strengthened our collective resolve to save INDIA and to come together to ensure the departure of an incompetent, corrupt and dictatorial regime led by the BJP,” he said.
