Kozhikode: Leader of Opposition (LoP) Rahul Gandhi on Saturday slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the handling of natural calamity at Wayanad, alleging Modi did not provide deserved due support to the Wayanad disaster victims.

While addressing the public meeting organised by the UDF at Mukkam, as part of the maiden visit of Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi-Vadra to thank the voters of Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency, he further alleged that for PM Modi it did not matter what calamity struck Wayanad on July 30 and accused Modi of acting in a bias manner towards industrialist Gautam Adani and discriminating against the Wayanad victims.

Continuing his attack on Modi, Rahul Gandhi said, “The United States has indicted Adani, but Narendra Modi says it does not matter to India, we will not indict him.”

He asked AICC Organizing General secretary K C Venugopal and his sister Priyanka Gandhi to ensure that “every member of the Congress party and UDF should put pressure on the Kerala Government to help the Wayanad victims.”
