The concentration of the youth is getting dwindled by the day, and they cannot focus on something for long now, and their attention keeps wandering, and the major reason behind the same is the modern lifestyle and the increasing use of technology. With the use of technology, the brain does not have to work hard, and therefore, the memory is also affected with this. The brain does not have to remember too many things.

As per the latest report of the Centre for Attention Studies, more than half of the youth is unable to focus on anything, and their capability of regulating their brain is getting reduced. The study reveals that in the last 36 years, the brain of each person has started working like a browser, in which a lot of windows are open. This is also affecting the quality of their work, and is reducing their will power.

At the beginning of the last year, the Centre for Attention Studies at Kings College, London, found out that out of the 2000 adults taking part in the survey, 49% felt that their capability of concentrating had reduced in comparison to earlier times. Around 47% agreed that they were unable to think deeply on a topic, and this had become a thing of the past. Nevertheless, it is impossible to quantify the same. We have no consistent measure of meditation or deep thinking, let alone comparing it with today through history. We are facing at least one problem at all times, which is scrolling without a reason.

As per the study, the attention of the youth gets wandered in 3 minutes on an average. An average person checks their phone around 85 times in one day, which is once in every 15 minutes, and despite turning to many methods, they are unable to come out of this habit.
