Bina (MP): Emphasising that “new India” is witnessing transformation at a rapid pace, Prime Minister Narendra Modi averred on Thursday that in “Amrit Kaal” every citizen has resolved to make Bharat a developed nation but self-reliance is imperative for attaining that cherished goal.

Addressing a public meeting in this town of election-bound Madhya Pradesh, Modi said, “You may recall that, from the ramparts of Delhi’s Red Fort, I spoke about liberation from a mentality of slavery. Now, I am proud to state that mindset has been overcome. We have decided to advance with the self-esteem of being independent. When a country thus decides, its rejuvenation commences.”

Describing his dispensation as a sensitive government that toils for the deprived and reaches every dwelling, the Prime Minister mentioned the milestones crossed vis-à-vis combating the pandemic and providing free ration.

Referring to his humble background, Modi said, “This son of an impoverished individual ensured no indigent mother underwent the torment of observing her beloved children go to bed hungry.”

Underscoring that for the development of any country or state, complete transparency in administration and uprooting of corruption are mandatory, he said the ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’ model is a trailblazer for the world even as Bharat aims to rank among the world’s three leading economies.
