Netanyahu says there could be temporary ceasefire in Gaza for release of hostages

Washington: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in an interview that although he doesn’t foresee the possibility of a general ceasefire in Gaza, he indicated there could be a temporary pause in its military operations in order to secure release of hostages held by Hamas.

“There will be a cease-fire for that purpose,” Netanyahu told ABC News on Monday regarding whether a temporary ceasefire was possible in exchange for securing the release of hostages.
