NIA arrests another 2 terror operatives in Karnataka

Bengaluru: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested two ISIS operatives in a case relating to a conspiracy hatched by accused persons to further the terror activities of Islamic State (IS) in India.

The accused have been identified as Mazin Abdul Rahman and KA Nadeem Ahmed

The FIR was initially registered at Shivamogga Rural Police Station and was re-registered by NIA on November 4 last year.

NIA investigations revealed that accused Maaz Muneer had radicalised and recruited Rahman while accused Syed Yasin radicalized and recruited Nadeem for furthering the terror activities of Islamic State in India.

The accused persons recced and attempted and committed acts of sabotage and arson as part of the larger conspiracy, to further the activities of Islamic State.

Four other accused persons have been arrested in the case earlier. Further investigations in the case are in progress.
