On Tuesday, September 12, the General Secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, Champat Rai, informed that several remains of an ancient Mandir were found during excavation at the Ram Janmabhoomi, Ayodhya. He added that the remains were mostly in the form of idols and pillars.
Taking to X, Rai said, ‘Remains of an ancient temple found during excavation at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi. It includes many statues and pillars.’ Rai shared a picture of the remains, which showed parts of idols carved out of large stones and pillars.
The construction work of the Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is progressing rapidly. Pran Pratishtha is scheduled for 22 January 2024.
After the ceremony, the Mandir will open to devotees, allowing them to pay obeisance to Ram Lalla, a moment awaited by Hindus for centuries.
