Sanjay Seth holds bilateral meetings on sidelines of Aero India

Bengaluru: Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth held a series of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the 15th edition of Aero India, engaging with key defence representatives from Italy, the United Kingdom, and Lesotho.

According to a press release issued by Ministry of Defence here on Tuesday, during his meeting with Under Secretary of State for Defence, Italy, Matteo Perego Di Cremnago, both sides reviewed various aspects of bilateral defence cooperation. They discussed India’s growing capabilities in manufacturing equipment and the development of indigenous systems. The Ministers reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening defence ties across all domains.

In a separate meeting with Minister for the House of Lords, UK, Lord Vernon Coaker, the two leaders reviewed bilateral defence cooperation and pledged to enhance relations further. They reiterated their commitment to working bilaterally and with international partners to uphold peace, prosperity, and a rules-based world order. Special emphasis was laid on collaboration in the Indo-Pacific and Indian Ocean Region to ensure freedom of navigation and adherence to the rule of law in maritime and other strategic domains.

Sanjay Seth on Monday also held discussions with the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office (Defence and Security), Lesotho, Limpho Tau. The discussions focused on the significant potential in defence exports and avenues to expand cooperation between the two nations in this domain.

Aero India 2025 serves as a vital platform for fostering international defence cooperation and promoting India’s growing role in the global defence ecosystem.
