Senior R&B officials among 3 dead in J&K’s Doda

Jammu: The senior officials of Road and Building department among three died and one seriously injured on Monday when a vehicle they were traveling in skidded off and plunged into river Chenab in Assar belt of Doda district in Jammu and Kashmir.

Police said that three officials of Road and Buildings and a driver were onboard a vehicle when it skidded off the road and plunged into the river Chenab near Assar.

“Three officials including Executive Engineer (Xen) R&B Doda, AEE and driver died on the spot while Superintending Engineer (SE) was injured,” they said.

Police added that the injured officer was evacuated and rushed to Government Medical College Doda and his condition was said to be critical.
