New Delhi: The grand finale of Sony’s kids singing reality show, ‘Superstar Singer 2’ is all set to air today.
The top six finalists – Mohammad Faiz from Jodhpur, Mani from Dharamkot, Pranjal Biswas from West Bengal, Sayisha Gupta from Mohali, Aryananda R Babu and Rituraj from Kerala will be giving their final performances and impressing the super judges Himesh Reshammiya and Alka Yagnik and audience alike with their extraordinary voices one last time.
The Grand Finale is truly going to be a musical extravaganza filled with mesmerizing voices, outstanding performances, endless laughter and memorable memories. Making the grand evening special for everyone, the show will celebrate some of the most heartwarming performances, personalities and quirky moments throughout the season with special awards in the ‘Superstar Awards Night’ presented by the special celebrity guests – actress Padmini Kolhapure and Poonam Dhillon, renowned music maestro – Anand, playback singers – Shabbir Kumar, Sonu Kakkar, and Bhoomi Trivedi, Actor Vijay Vikram Singh along with choreographer Puneet Pathak.
The show had wonderful judges like Alka Yagnik, Himesh Reshammiya and Javed Ali who truly were a great guide to both the contestants and the captains. The Queen of Melody, judge Alka Yagnik who has been the strongest pillar of ‘Superstar Singer 2’, will be surprised by a sweet gesture on the show.
At the ‘Superstar Awards Nights’, the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ will be presented to the Alka for her immense contribution to the Indian Music Industry and for being a guiding force and inspiration for all the contestants and captains. Presenting this special award will be the renowned music maestro – Anand, making it even more special for Alka Yagnik as he is a ‘god father’ to her.
Overwhelmed and extremely delighted with this honor given to her, Alka Yagnik said, “A big thank you to Sony Entertainment Television and the show Superstar Singer 2 for the honor. This is my second season with the show and what really makes me happy is when I see these little kids singing my songs so beautifully in front of me. They perform my songs so well that I am left with tears of joy.”
“I always knew that my songs are popular but I never imagined that such young kids will be singing those songs that to so effortlessly. Sending all my blessings and love to all the contestants. I am overwhelmed and surprised as I did not expect this. Thank you Adi, Sony TV and the whole team for all the love,” she said.
“I am touched that everyone with open arms accepted my voice and made me who I am today, I will be forever be grateful for the same. And, I am elated to be receiving this award from my guru who have played an important role in my journey. This is really special. Thank you so much and love you all,” added Alka.
Grand finale episode will air at 8 pm on Sony today.
