Three militants nabbed in Manipur

Imphal: Three militants were nabbed in three separate incidents during the last 24 hours.

Manipur Police said on Thursday that security forces arrested one active member of a militant outfit from Nongpok Sanjenbam Khullen near the market shed under Lamlai-PS, Imphal East District.

In another incident security forces arrested a militant from the Sawombung-Pourabi area under Lamlai-PS, Imphal East District. Another militant was nabbed by security forces from Keibi Heikak Mapal under Sagolmang-PS, Imphal East District.

Manipur Police recovered six vehicles in a special drive conducted for the recovery of stolen/snatched vehicles from anti-social elements/miscreants. Further, tinted glasses were removed from 56 vehicles by Manipur Police in the special vehicle drive.

During a search operation, three SMG carbines, one 9 mm pistol with one magazine and other items were recovered from Pourabi village under Lamlai-PS, Imphal East District.
