Washington: Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is leading in the US swing states and is outrunning Democratic candidate Kamala Harris by 1.8 percentage points reaching 49% in voting intention, two polls conducted by the AtlasIntel research company showed.

“Trump leads in the swing states, with particularly significant margins in Arizona and Nevada. The race remains tight in the key states of the Rust Belt (MI, WI, and PA),” the company said on X.

Trump is ahead of Harris by at least 1 percentage point in each swing state, the poll showed. The largest gap of 6.8 percentage points in favor of the Republican candidate is observed in Arizona and in Nevada (5.5 percentage points), the survey found. The lowest gap is observed in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania, where Trump leads by 1.3, 1.5 and 1.7 percentage points, respectively. Harris is also 1.8 percentage points behind Trump in Georgia and by 3.6 percentage points in North Carolina.

The results of another poll showed that 49% of US voters would cast their vote for Trump, and 47.2% would vote for Harris in the upcoming presidential election.

The survey on voting intention was conducted among 2,463 US nationals from November 1-2, with a margin of error of about 2 percentage points.

Another poll on the level of the candidates’ support in the swing states was also carried out from November 1-2. The number of those surveyed in Arizona stood at 967, in Georgia – 1,174, in Michigan – 1,198, in Nevada – 782, in North Carolina – 1,310, in Pennsylvania – 2,049, and in Wisconsin – 728.
