United Nations: United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres voiced concern over the cross-border Indian military operations into Pakistan and POK and urged for maximum military restraint from both countries.

The spokesperson for the Secretary-General said this on the issue of Operation Sindoor launched by India on terror camps in Pakistan:

“The Secretary-General is very concerned about the Indian military operations across the Line of Control and international border.

“He calls for maximum military restraint from both countries.

“The world cannot afford a military confrontation between India and Pakistan.”

His statement came hours after the Indian military launched strikes on nine terror camps in Pakistan and POK as part of Operation Sindoor, to avenge the April 22 massacre of 26 people, mostly tourists, by Islamic terrorists in Pahalgam.
