Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has provided employment and jobs to more than 11,000 in last one month alone in line with its commitment to create ample employment opportunities for the youth within the state itself in order to stop their migration, an official spokesman said here on Wednesday.
The spokesman said that the Yogi government has been maintaining absolute transparency in recruitment since 2017 to ensure that only eligible candidates get selected.
CM Yogi distributed appointment letters to 1,148 Sub‑Inspectors selected by the Police Recruitment and Promotion Board on July 6. This batch included 587 assistant Sub‑Inspectors (Clerk), 217 Sub‑Inspectors (Confidential) and 344 Assistant Sub‑Inspectors (Accounts).
Appointment letters were given to 227 constables selected under sports quota on July 8. In the last six years, the Yogi government has made recruitments on more than 1.5 lakh positions in the UP Police Department alone. An additional 2,500 recruitment were made for dependents of the deceased personnel.
The state government has also encouraged athletes by providing them with government jobs. Several athletes have been provided with gazetted jobs in UP in the recent past.
The CM has also been working on strengthening the health and education sectors for the growth of the state and well being of its people and in June distributed appointment letters to 7,182 ANMs (health workers) and to newly appointed 1,442 staff nurses in SGPGI (Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences).
Meanwhile, Yogi will hand over appointment letters to 936 youths in various departments at a programme organised at Lok Bhawan on Thursday. The appointment letters will be given for 231 positions of instructors in the Technical Education Department, 201 positions of Review Officer and Assistant Review Officer at the Secretariat, 180 positions of Junior Assistant in the Transport Department, 130 positions of Junior Assistant in the Public Works Department, 128 positions of Junior Assistant in the Election Department and 66 positions of Review Officer and Assistant Review Officer in the Board of Revenue.
