US base in eastern Syria shelled with 15 missiles overnight

Doha: A US military base near the Al-Omar oil field east of the Syrian city of Deir ez-Zur was shelled with at least 15 missiles overnight, Al Mayadeen broadcaster reported on Thursday, citing local sources.

Earlier in the day, US military jets reportedly carried out strikes on Syrian territory, presumably targeting Shiite armed groups.

Between October 17 and November 6, adversary military groups attacked US bases in Syria and Iraq 38 times, resulting in a total of 46 troops injured, according to the US Department of Defense.
