Washington: Former US President and Republican candidate Donald Trump vowed on Monday to block Japan from buying US Steel once he is back at the White House.
“Upon taking office, I will invoke the Defense Production Act wherever it’s necessary to very quickly ramp up capacity of essential products, and I will stop Japan from buying United States Steel,” Trump said in his remarks during a campaign event in York, Pennsylvania.
