5 students injured during a scuffle between 2 groups at NIT Srinagar

Srinagar: At least five students of National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar were injured during an alleged scuffle between two groups late last night, officials said.

The clashes took place after the end of a volleyball match.

Police said a late night scuffle happened in NIT Srinagar wherein two groups of students belonging to different batches clashed after the end of a volleyball match.

“..5 students from both sides sustained minor injuries,” a police tweet said, adding on request of NIT authorities, police entered campus.

“The situation is normal now,” police added.
