Google features Kerala startup in elite club

Kochi: Google’s technology team has done an exclusive video interview with Riafy Technologies, making the Kerala startup feature among a handful of Indian companies in the elite club.

The 20-minute conversation is with John Mathew of the Kochi-based firm which is into artificial intelligence and machine learning, being incubated under Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM).

Themed “How to Build a Great AI Assistant”, the interaction was done in the wake of nine-year-old Riafy having recently used its advanced conversational AI capabilities to create one of the world’s best customer experiences for Federal Bank.

In fact, the Riafy-powered Banking Assistant Feddy has handled more than 1.4 million queries with over 98 per cent accuracy.

Google, having recognized Feddy as one of the best AI implementations, also featured this implementation in a unique case study: https:loud.google.com/customers/federal-bank.

Riafy has also deployed its advanced AI capabilities for US-based Fortune-500 company Estee Lauder, besides Karur Vysya Bank and a multiple projects under the Kerala government.

“We plan to aggressively expand to all the private banks in the country,” revealed Mathew. “We are also rapidly engaging with industry leaders in verticals such as Healthcare and Retail to revolutionize conversational AI adoption worldwide.”

Riafy’s AI platform Esse AI has set itself apart by being an intelligent system that can understand user queries, find and render information, he added.

KSUM is Kerala government’s nodal agency for entrepreneurship development and incubation activities in the state.
