Amritsar: Punjab’s Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) on Friday nabbed two gangsters linked to Jaggu Bhagwanpuria wanted for the killing of singer Sidhu Moosewala in Kukranwala village and Jandiala Guru town in Amritsar district.

Mandeep Singh alias Tufan and Manpreet Singh alias Money Rayya are accomplices of Bhagwanpuria and prime suspects in gangster Rana Kandowalia’s killing case.

“In an intelligence-led operation, AGTF arrested two main absconding members … from Amritsar. Both wanted for several cases of killings, dacoity and links with Sidhu Moosewala murder case,” Punjab Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav tweeted.

In July, two accomplices of Bhagwanpuria, who faces more than 40 criminal cases, Jagroop Singh alias Roopa and Manpreet Singh alias Manu, were killed in a gun battle with Punjab Police in a border village of Amritsar district.

Both the slain accused were among the shooters who killed Moosewala in Mansa district on May 29.

Police sources said it was suspected that both the accused had provided logistic support to the slain gangsters. They had a number criminal cases of murders, attempting murder, drug trafficking and arms act against them.

Rayya who was injured during murderous assault on rival gangster Rana Kandowalia, had been evading arrest since then. His name was also figured in Shubhdeep Singh alias Sidhu Moosewala murder case.
