She has overtaken South Africa fast bowler Shabnim Ismail and now only trails England spinners Sophie Ecclestone and Sarah Glenn.

The 25-year-old grabbed three wickets against Pakistan and two each against Bangladesh and Thailand to move up three slots and reach a career-best-equaling third position, which she had first attained in November 2019.

She has overtaken South Africa fast bowler Shabnim Ismail and now only trails England spinners Sophie Ecclestone and Sarah Glenn.

Sharma has also moved up one slot to 35th among batters and is ranked third among all-rounders after overtaking Australia’s Ashleigh Gardner.

Her number three position among all-rounders is also a career-best-equaling attainment.

India’s Renuka Singh (up three slots to eighth), Sneh Rana (up 30 places to 15th) and Pooja Vastrakar (up seven places to 28th) have progressed in the rankings for bowlers.

In the rankings for batters, India’s Jemimah Rodrigues has moved from eighth to sixth position while Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana (up three places to 22nd) and her team-mate Murshida Khatun (up 10 places to 27th) have also gained.

Pakistan all-rounder Nida Dar, who smashed a match-winning 56 not out off 37 balls against India, has advanced five places to 39th position. She has also moved up a slot to take the seventh position in the list of all-rounders.
