The Pakistani government has been unable to find a solution to alleviate the economic crisis and the people’s problems related to the same. On the other hand, it has now started to attempt to divert the attention of the country’s population. A resolution has been passed in the Pakistani parliament, after which, the Quran will be taught in the universities across the country with its translation, and the students of all courses will have to read it. Which means that even the students from the minority communities like the Hindus will have to compulsorily read the Quran.

Nevertheless, the students will not have to take a test after reading the Quran, and neither will they receive extra marks for the same. The intention behind not taking an examination or not giving extra marks is to motivate the students for learning. The Upper House has passed another resolution in the parliament, which gives detailed information about how the university students will be taught about Prophet Muhammad. Both the resolutions were presented by Jamaat-e-Islami MP, Mushtaq Ahmed.

Mushtaq has said that both the resolutions were presented, keeping in mind the rules of the Constitution. The MP has also opposed the bill in the parliament which is related to transgenders. He was of the opinion that the bill was against the Quran. Home Minister Rana Sanaullah had stated back on 6th January only that the government had decided on compiling some verses of the original Quran again. These Arabic verses will be translated.
