Fire dept building to be built in Bijhari for Rs 6 cr: Cong MLA Lakhanpal

Hamirpur (HP): Congress party MLA from Badsar, MLA Inder Dutt Lakhanpal laid the foundation stone of the office building of the Fire Department here on Friday.

On this occasion, he said about Rs six crore would be spent on this building and apart from the department’s office, all the state-of-the-art equipment, vehicles and other necessary facilities related to firefighting would be available.

Lakhanpal said the need for a fire brigade building was being felt in the Bijhari area for a long time and he was constantly striving for it. He said with the laying of the foundation stone of the building, the pending demand of the people of this area has been fulfilled.

The MLA said various development works and schemes would be implemented in a phased manner in the Badsar assembly constituency. For this, special guidelines have been issued to the officers of all the departments. He said in relation to the new schemes for the area, a detailed discussion will be held in the MLA’s priorities meeting and provision of adequate funds will be made for them in the upcoming budget.

Earlier, Home Guards Commandant Sushil Kumar Kaundal, officers-employees of the Civil Services Department, Panchayat people’s representatives and Congress office-bearers welcomed Inder Dutt Lakhanpal.
