CBI raids over 35 locations in Jammu in alleged FAA Exam Scam

Jammu: The sleuths of Central Bureau of Investigation on Friday raided more than 35 locations across Jammu region in an alleged Finance Accounts Assistant Examination scam of Jammu and Kashmir.

Notably, around one lakh aspirants appeared in the examination last year and they alleged leakage of paper to recruit blue eyed by the department.

The aspirants also staged huge protests following which, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha headed administration assured justice and probe into the allegations.

“The CBI teams this morning raided 37 locations in six districts of the region out of which, 35 locations are in Jammu district,” official sources added.

They said the raids are in connection with a case related to alleged corruption and irregularities in the examination for the posts of Accounts Assistant of the Financial Department conducted by JKSSB.

The raids were also carried out in October last year.

The CBI also arrested several persons including a cop and a CRPF personnel in 2022 in connection with Jammu and Kashmir Police Sub-inspector recruitment scam.
