PM Modi greets people of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram on their 37th statehood day

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the people of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram on their 37th statehood day on Monday.

Both Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram got the status of state from Union Territory on February 20, 1987.

Calling the Arunachal Pradesh, a state “synonyms with dynamism and patriotism” Modi lauded the people from the state for contributing to India’s progress in many sectors.

“I pray that Arunachal Pradesh keeps scaling new heights of progress in the coming years” he tweeted.

Wishing the people of Mizoram, the Prime Minister said, “Mizoram is known for its natural beauty, hardworking people and the outstanding Mizo culture”.

“May the aspirations of the people of Mizoram continue being fulfilled in the coming times” he said.

Meanwhile, President Droupadi Murmu will attend the 37th statehood day celebration in Arunachal Pradesh on Monday.

She will also attend a reception to be hosted in her honour by the State government.

As per the official statement, the President will address the special session of Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly at Itanagar on Tuesday.
