Khandu, Mein congratulate Millo Sunka for winning best actress award at Int’l level

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu and his Deputy Chowna Mein on Tuesday conveyed their hearty congratulations to Millo Sunka for becoming the first Arunachalee actor to win the best actress award at International level for her role in a short film, ‘Nocturnal Burger’.

“A Moment of Pride for Arunachal Pradesh! Millo Sunka brings rare laurels to us. She has become the first Arunachalee actor to win the Best Actress award at an international level. She has won the Best Actor award at Prisma Rome International Film Award 2023 for her short film ‘Nocturnal Burger’,” Khandu wrote on Twitter.

“It is really heartening to see our youths making our State & Nation proud. Heartiest congratulations to Millo Sunka who has become the 1st Arunachalee to win the Best Actress award at an International Film Festival. Her achievement is an inspiration to many aspiring youths,” Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein said.

‘Nocturnal Burger’ had its world premiere at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival-2023, the largest independent film festival in the United States. It is also an official selection of the Aspen Film Festival 2023, which is an Oscar-qualifying film festival.

Millo Sunka is the daughter of retired Indian Forest Service officer Millo Tago and Millo Yalyo of Tajang village in Arunachal’s Lower Subansiri district.
