On Saturday, June 10, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and Congress leader, DK Shivakumar, said that several cases were being filed against his party workers in the state of Madhya Pradesh. He said, “One thing which we are sorry to hear is that lots of cases have been filed against our party members, which is unfair”.

He further asserted that the former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Kamal Nath, and all the Congress members are working unitedly, and that they will bring a change in the future of the state.

DK Shivakumar arrived in the state on Saturday afternoon and is on a two-day visit to the state. On Saturday, he paid his obeisance at the renowned Peetambara Peeth in Datia district, after reaching the Gwalior airport at around 2 PM. On Sunday, he will attend the Bhasmarti at the Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga in Ujjain, and will visit the Kalabhairava temple in the city.

Shivakumar’s visit to Madhya Pradesh is being seen as a thanksgiving trip after the victory of his party in the state of Karnataka.

The Madhya Pradesh State Assembly elections are all set to take place in the month of December, 2023.
