Soldier reportedly injured in gunfight between SFs-terrorists in J&K’s Poonch

Jammu: An army jawan reportedly sustained injuries in a brief exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists in the Gulpur sector of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir.

Official sources on Saturday said that acting on specific information, during patrolling, the Army troops were fired upon last night by the terrorists in the Gulpur sector near the Chakkan-da-Bagh area.

“The troops retaliated, and a brief exchange of firing was triggered, in which one jawan was reportedly injured,” they said.

Sources said that the area has been cordoned off and that a search operation is in progress.
