Srinagar: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday carried out searches of several locations in Kashmir in a case pertaining to the militant conspiracy case, officials said.
The raids were conducted six days after two overground workers hailing from Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir were arrested in the case.
Officials said the NIA sleuths assisted by police and CRPF this morning raided several places in south Kashmir. The raids were being carried out at houses of OGWs and hybrid militants of newly floated militant outfits, they said.
The searches were carried out in a case registered by NIA on June 21, 2022. The case registered suo moto by NIA is investigating the involvement of the cadres and OGWs of the various outfits in spreading activities relating to terror, violence and subversion in J&K. These cadres and workers have been involved in the collection and distribution of sticky bombs/magnetic bombs, IEDs, funds, narcotic substances and arms/ammunitions.
