Rajahmundry: Telugu Desam Party National General Secretary Nara Lokesh has claimed that the CID police in Andhra Pradesh have failed to produce evidence in the Skill Development scam case registered against TDP Chief and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

Nara Lokesh, along with his mother N Bhuvaneswari, met Naidu in the Central jail here on Saturday during the Mulakat time.

Later talking to the media, Lokesh dared the government to keep before the people, if they have evidence about the involvement of Chandrababu Naidu in the Skill Development case.

Regretting that the former CM has been in the central prison for the last 50 days, he alleged that the YSRCP leaders managed the institutions that is why Naidu has been in the prison despite he did not commit any mistake.

The TDP National General Secretary reiterated that neither his family members nor friends were involved in the skill development scam.

Accusing the Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy headed government of acting in a vindictive manner against Naidu, Lokesh said that the YSRCP leaders were telling that his mother Nara Bhuvaneswari would also be arrested.

“An YSRCP MP openly announced that if Jagan Mohan Reddy is voted to power in the next Assembly election, Chandrababu Naidu will die. We have lost faith in the institutions.

Reddy is feeling sadistic pleasure by getting arrested Chandrababu Naidu,” the TDP leader flayed, and described party Chief’s confinement in the central prison for 50 days as an inhuman act.

Nara Lokesh, who is the son of Chandrababu Naidu, pointed out that 12 chargesheets were filed against Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy by the CBI in various corruption cases but he has been freely moving for the last 10 years, but at the same time, Naidu was arrested though he did not involve in any scam.

He expressed concern over the health of Naidu in the prison stating that an ophthalmologist advised Naidu to undergo cataract operation at the earliest, but the next day, the same doctor advised that Naidu could be operated some time later, which is clearly indicating that the government has managed institutions.

Lokesh lamented that Naidu has lost six KGs weight during the last 50 days in the prison.

The YSRCP government focused only on how to keep the former CM in prison as long as possible and ignored the drought situation in the state. Crops in 32 lakh acres are getting withered due to dry spell condition and lack of water but the government did not bother to address the crisis, he alleged.
