J&K to host 13 matches of Legends League Cricket from Oct 3

Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir is set to host 13 matches of the third leg of the Legends League Cricket (LLC) to be played here at the Maulana Azad Stadium and at the at the Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar.

As the last edition of the LLC was a massive success in Jammu with packed stadiums cheering on for the best national and international cricketing stars, this year, 13 matches have been scheduled at the stadiums of both Jammu and Srinagar, said an official.

Sharing the schedule, he said that a total 13 matches will be played in both the regions including six at Jammu and seven at Srinagar.

As per the schedule, he said that in Jammu, on October 3, Manipal Tigers will meet Hyderabad, on October 4, India Capitals will meet Konark Suryas Odisha, on October 5, Hyderabad will meet Gujarat, on October 6, two matches will be played wherein, India Capitals will meet Southern Superstars and Konark Suryas Odisha will meet Hyderabad and on October 7, India Capitals will meet Gujarat. October 8 will be the rest day.

In Srinagar, the matches will begin on October 9 with Hyderabad taking on Southern Superstars, on October 10, India Capitals will meet Manipal Tigers, on October 11, Konark Suryas Odisha will meet Gujarat, on October 12, Qualifier (Position 1 v/s Position 2), on October 13, Eliminator (Position 3 v/s Position 4), on October 14, Semi Final (Loser Qualifier v/s Eliminator Winner) and on October 16, Final (Winner Qualifier v/s Winner Semis). October 15 however, will be the rest day.

The franchise-based tournament, featuring a pool of over 200 players, will unfold across four cities, Jodhpur, Surat, Jammu and to Srinagar after 40 long years.

CEO, Legends League Cricket, Raman Raheja says that it also presents a unique opportunity for the cricketers to experience the beauty of Kashmir and enjoy the hospitality and love of the wonderful people of Srinagar.
