Chennai airport announces changes in flight schedules due to Air Show

Chennai: The Chennai Airport has announced changes in flight schedule from Tuesday to October eight due to Indian Air Force Day Air Show.

In a release here on Monday evening, Airport Director, AAI, Chennai Airport, C V Deepak
said the Chennai International Airport informs passengers of exciting developments from
October 1 to 8 as the Indian Air Force’s Air Force Day air show takes place at Tambaram
and Marina Beach.

The prestigious event will showcase aerial performances and may require brief adjustments
to flight schedules due to airspace closures.

To ensure minimal disruptions, the airport announced closures, ranging from 15 minutes to
two hours at various intervals.

The first closure will occur today from 13:45 hrs to 15:15 hrs, followed by additional intervals on October 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 and 8.

“We encourage passengers to stay updated by checking flight schedules and communicating with their airlines for the latest information”, Mr Deepak said.

Chennai International Airport is working in close coordination with the Indian Air Force to
ensure a smooth travel experience during this extraordinary event.

“We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to celebrating this occasion with you while supporting your travel plans”, he said.
