Bengaluru: Renowned Indian music composer and three-time Grammy Award winner Ricky Kej has been nominated for a Grammy for his latest album, ‘Break of Dawn’.

Drawing from ancient Indian Raags, the New Age album was crafted to promote mental health and wellness, reinforcing Kej’s commitment to addressing the interdependence of personal wellness and environmental health.

In line with his belief that “the impurities of the environment are in direct relation to the impurities of the mind,” Kej created ‘Break of Dawn’ as an inspiration for a compassionate and environmentally conscious society.

The album, featuring nine tracks, has received widespread acclaim, with Cosmopolitan calling it his “most special creation yet” and ‘Forbes’ describing him as “a celebrated Indian music composer and environmentalist… making music with a message.”

Expressing his gratitude for the recognition, Kej stated, “I am very grateful for this fourth nomination. Thank you for your support and blessings.”

Beyond its musical reception, ‘Break of Dawn’ has garnered praise from Stanford Global Health, USA. “We would like to congratulate Ricky for his latest endeavour in ‘Break of Dawn’ to address the global burden of mental health conditions through India-rooted wellness music,” they said.

“We appreciate the valuable time and resources Ricky has committed to support the work of Stanford Biodesign and Stanford Global Health and hope to strengthen our collaboration in the coming years.”

Fans can explore ‘Break of Dawn’ through an exclusive trailer and music video, accessible on Kej’s official channels.
