Manohar Lal Khattar to inaugurate development projects in Telangana

Karimnagar (Telangana): Union Minister for Urban Development and Housing, Manohar Lal Khattar, will visit Karimnagar on January 24 to inaugurate several development projects under the Karimnagar Municipal Corporation.

His visit aims to launch initiatives that enhance the city’s infrastructure and address key public concerns.

One of the major projects to be inaugurated is the 24-hour uninterrupted drinking water supply program in the Housing Board Colony.

The minister will also open the newly constructed sports complex and related facilities at Ambedkar Stadium, built at a cost of Rs 22 crore.

Additionally, he will inaugurate the park development project at the Multipurpose School, completed at a cost of Rs 8.2 crore, as well as the upgraded Rajiv Park, which involved an investment of Rs 1.10 crore.

Other significant projects include the Integrated Market building at Ambothu Veeryam Kendra, developed at a cost of Rs 14 crore, and smart classrooms at Subhash Nagar School and the Multipurpose School, with each project costing Rs 10.2 crore.

Khattar will also visit the dump yard on Karimnagar Bypass Road to address public grievances regarding its impact before proceeding to the Housing Board Colony, where he will participate in a public meeting.

Ahead of the minister’s visit, local MP and Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, along with Karimnagar Municipal Corporation Mayor Sunil Rao and Commissioner Chahat Bajpayee, inspected various project sites on Tuesday.

These included Ambedkar Stadium, the Marwari Government School, and the Housing Board Colony public meeting venue.

Bandi Sanjay emphasised the importance of Khattar’s first visit to Karimnagar and urged officials to ensure the event’s success.
