Washington: Officials from the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) attended meetings at the Pentagon last week, CNN reported, citing a source.

On February 7, US President Donald Trump said that he tasked Elon Musk, who is in charge of DOGE, with checking the Pentagon’s spending.

“Some DOGE personnel attended meetings in the Pentagon Friday,” the source was quoted as saying by the broadcaster on Tuesday.

Trump created DOGE shortly after being sworn in as the 47th president of the United States. Musk was appointed to head the new consultative body, whose priorities include cutting costs and restructuring federal agencies.
