Panjim: Starting with the induction of Congress MLAs into BJP, which was quickly followed up with removal of senior government officials groomed by late Manohar Parrikar to strengthen the Goa government, BJP Goa leaders are working arduously to sideline the legacy of the Late Manohar Parrikar – the man who helped bring BJP to power in the state.

Taking this intent to sideline Parrikar’s legacy in the state to the next level, BJP has no decided to remove the former Chief Minister image from banners.

At recent conference held at the BJP Goa headquarters in Panjim, a banner placed behind the BJP leaders on the dais has no image of Manohar Parrikar that was an image prominent on all banners across the state. Interestingly, there in no photo-frame of Manohar Parrikar, like that of Atal Bihari Vajpayee in the same conference room to the right of the conference stage.

Parrikar ‘No More’ on BJP Goa Banners - Chief Minister of Goa, Manohar Parrikar

Parrikar Goa’s most respected politician for his intelligence, political acumen and simplicity. He was revered not only in Goa but across India after his stint as the Union Minister of Defence.

Parrikar continued in the Chief Minister’s office even though he was terminally ill, until his last breath.
