AIBEA to launch exclusive website ‘Bank Clinic’ at Mumbai tomorrow

Hyderabad: All India Bank Employees’ Association (AIBEA), the oldest and largest trade union of bank employees, will launch ‘Bank Clinic’, an exclusive website, in Mumbai on Saturday.

Indian Banks’ Assocation (IBA) Chief Executive and former Managing Director and CEO of Punjab National Bank Sunil Mehta will launch and inaugurate the website, AIBEA General Secretary Ch Venkatachalam said in a release on Friday.

G Rajkiran Rai, former MD & CEO of Union Bank of India and former Chairman of IBA and the present Managing Director of National Bank for Financing Infrastructure & Development – NaBFID and M V Rai, Chairman of IBA and Managing Director & CEO of Central Bank of India will be the Chief Guests in the lunching function.

Executives from various Banks and leaders of trade unions will take part in the function.

Mr Venkatachalam said the website will provide guidance as to how to raise complaints about any banking services, tracking it, RBI circulars and guidelines on customer service, related news items, financial literacy and customer education literature and documents.

With the expansion of bank network and the number of customers, and coupled with the drastic changes that are taking place in the banking systems, technology and operations, there are bound to be information gaps and possibility of grievances for the banking public. Despite availability of guidelines and platforms to seek remedy, by and large, the customers are not aware of these remedies, he said.

The AIBEA General Secretary said Bank clinic is an initiative in this regard and added common man is finding it difficult to carry out banking transactions seamlessly, due to rapid changes in technology and systems.

In this background, Bank Clinic will undertake various initiatives in the sphere of financial & technological literacy and assist customers in carrying out theirtransactions in a smooth and secured manner.

Bank Clinic will also guide customers in resolving grievances by introducing Customer Complaint Management Service, Mr Venkatachalam added.
