In Rajasthan’s Alwar, is working such a team of youths, which is feeding around 700-800 people daily and has fed around 5 lakh people in the last 5 months. This arrangement, based on assistance from people, was started on 16th June, 2021, and the people associated with this initiative set up a team in the name of the ‘Vision Organization’ and started feeding people on two tables which were initially placed. At the start of it, they used to take an assistance of 10 Rs per person but later, it was reduced to a mere 1 Rupee.

The aim behind the 1 Rupee charge is that the one who eats the food should not think that he did so for free. The initiative has been taken by the team of Himanshu Sharma and Chintu Gujjar. Himanshu stated that there is no dearth of supporters, and there are 6-7 such people who contribute towards a whole day’s food once in a month. Along with this, the vegetable vendors have started giving them vegetables for free during whole weeks. Some other institutions contribute ingredients like edible oil, clarified butter or ghee, and flour.

Once the initiative completes the duration of 500 days, the team will put up a board at the feeding point which will inform people about vacancies at companies requiring workers, which will make it easier for those to contact the companies who are looking for a job.
