Mumbai: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan hosted gameshow, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ Season 16, on Sony Entertainment Television, will honour Padma Shree awardees, Dr Abhay and Dr Rani Bang on September 13.

As these extraordinary Karamveers take the hotseat, Bachchan will applaud their transformative work in revolutionizing healthcare in the tribal regions of Gadchiroli, Maharashtra.

Driven by their philosophy of “Think globally, act locally”, the power couple has established the Maa Danteshwari Hospital, designed to honour Adivasi traditions, that offers modern medicine in a comforting environment for the community.

Praising their remarkable work, host Amitabh Bachchan wishes them well, saying, “I hope you walk away from Kaun Banega Crorepati with a significant prize, and it’s clear from your words that you plan to use this prize to continue your incredible work, offering treatment free of charge.”

In a lighter moment, Abhay Bang reveals that he likes eating what his wife, Rani, makes for him and that he especially relishes eating her Masala Dosas, prompting Big B to admit, “Humko bhi bahut pasand hai masala dosa.”

Rani humorously added that while she cooks everything for Abhay, he only makes chai for her, eliciting a laugh from the veteran actor.

Abhay also sheepishly agrees that he doesn’t know how to make anything else and Amitabh Bachchan, quick to encourage Abhay, confesses that his culinary knowledge only extends to boiling water.

Dr. Abhay and Dr. Rani Bang’s unwavering dedication and visionary approach to healthcare serve as a powerful example of how relentless commitment can drive social change and Amitabh Bachchan warmly encouraged the audience to think about joining their community.

Dr. Abhay Bang also invited those inspired by their mission to contribute, emphasizing that every moment spent supporting the community helps create meaningful and lasting change.
