Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Union Minister of State for Finance Dr. Bhagwat Karad on Friday said that, Maharashtra government’s budget is going to do justice to all the constituents.

Substantial provision was made in the budget especially for the development of Marathwada and Sambhajinagar.

In his statement Mr Karad stated that, in the state budget includes water grid, floating solar in Nath Reservoir, expansion of airport at Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar with a whopping Rs 734 crore which was announced in budget by finance minister Devendra Fadanvis.

The proposal of Marathwada water grid, which has been in discussion for the past several years, has been sent to the central government for approval, Gangapur, Vaijapur, Paithan taluks of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district will get water from Jayakwadi dam through water grid.

Water will be available to the water grid from Jayakwadi biggest dam , Majalgaon, Urdhav Manar dam for Beed and Latur district, Ujani, Seena, Kolegaon, Nimterana dam for Dharashiv district.

Regarding the expansion of Chikalthana International Airport and runway, which is crucial for the development of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, I had consistently insisted.

The Deputy Chief Minister of the state Mr. Devendra Fadnavis had demanded that at least Rs 800 crore should be made available for the expansion of the airport by acquiring 148 acres of land.

Substantial provision has been made in the budget for land acquisition, Rs.734 crore .

Thus the issue of expansion and runway has been resolved.
