Firstly, Elon, let’s get one thing straight – there is nothing civilisational about the West. They were barbarians once, and they still are – only now they wear tailored suits, speak fluent hypocrisy, and carry smartphones instead of swords. They prance around on the global stage as the self-appointed defenders of virtues, democracy, and human rights, but beneath that glossy veneer lies the same old colonial parasite – merely updated to version 2.0.
The West loves to call itself “civilised.” It’s their favourite bedtime story – one where they rescued the world from ignorance, savagery, and superstition. They wrote that story in their textbooks, filmed it in Hollywood, and preached it through their think tanks. But if you look closely at history, the so-called Western civilisation is not a story of enlightenment – it’s a saga of exploitation, genocide, and cultural erasure.
When Europe discovered the rest of the world, it didn’t bring light – it brought loot. From Africa’s resources to India’s wealth, from Asia’s spices to South America’s gold – every corner of the world bears the fingerprints of Western greed. And yet, they call this “civilisation.” How convenient – to slaughter millions, plunder continents, and then rewrite the story as if they were doing humanity a favour.
The British called it the White Man’s Burden. The French called it mission civilisatrice. The Americans call it “spreading democracy.” Different names, same disease – the chronic need to control.
Earlier, they came with crosses, cannons, and contracts. Now they come with code, corporations, and connectivity. Yesterday’s East India Company has evolved into Silicon Valley – the new empire that doesn’t need armies, because it conquers through algorithms.
Today’s colonisation doesn’t look like red-coated soldiers marching through foreign lands. It looks like Western tech giants infiltrating your phone, your thoughts, your economy, your elections. It’s no longer about seizing your land – it’s about seizing your mind.
When a Western company says, “We’re empowering your freedom of expression,” what they actually mean is, “We’re mapping your digital soul for profit.” The coloniser no longer wants your spices; he wants your data. The new loot is information. The new battlefield is attention.
And the irony is – we’re the ones paying them to colonise us.
The West talks about freedom as if they invented it. They speak about democracy as if it’s their sacred scripture. But look closer, Elon – every time they “liberate” a nation, that nation ends up in chaos. Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan – how many more “liberations” before the world learns the pattern?
They come as liberators. They leave as colonisers.
It’s always the same cycle – moral rhetoric, military intervention, economic dependency, and finally, social destabilisation. They call it global order; I call it global manipulation.
When they fund wars, it’s “defence.” When others defend themselves, it’s “aggression.” When they sanction nations, it’s “justice.” When others do it, it’s “hostility.” They play moral referee while breaking every rule in the book.
The Western media, too, plays its part in this circus. The camera angle is always tilted in their favour. Their propaganda comes gift-wrapped in polished English, high production value, and fake concern for “human rights.” But make no mistake – the agenda is the same: to dominate the narrative. Because whoever controls the story controls the world.
You see, Elon, the West never really left its colonies – it just moved inside their minds. Through culture, cinema, fashion, and academia, they’ve created a global psyche that worships the West and doubts itself.
The brown man measures his worth in how close he sounds to an American accent. The African child grows up thinking development looks like New York. The Asian student is taught that progress means imitating the West.
This is not education – it’s indoctrination. They’ve convinced us that to be modern is to be Western. That is the most successful colonisation of all – when the colonised begin to mimic their colonisers willingly.
Every empire eventually collapses, but the Western empire is unique – it has learned how to colonise without flags, how to enslave without chains, and how to dominate without armies. That’s not civilisation, Elon – that’s psychological warfare.
Now, these barbarians use technology as their tool of liberation. They say, “We are connecting the world.” In truth, they are collecting the world. Every photo, every click, every word you type is a brick in their digital empire.
Artificial intelligence is their new missionary. Big Tech is their new religion. Data is their new gold. And they’ve made the rest of the world the digital plantation.
They promise transparency but hide behind opaque algorithms. They speak of innovation but operate like monopolies. They claim neutrality but play God with global information.
The same barbarians who destroyed cultures now want to program conscience. The same people who built weapons of mass destruction now want to build ethics for machines. Tell me, Elon, does that sound civilised to you?
Every now and then, their mask slips. When a non-Western nation rises, they panic. When an independent voice questions them, they censor. When sovereignty asserts itself, they destabilise. The colonial instinct never left them; it only evolved.
They built the IMF to control your economy.
They built the UN to legitimise their wars.
They built Hollywood to shape your dreams.
They built Big Tech to monitor your thoughts.
And they call this “the free world.”
Freedom, in their dictionary, means obedience. Democracy means alignment. Human rights mean Western interests. And civilisation means Western dominance.
Civilisation is not measured by your GDP or gadgets. It’s measured by how you treat others – by your humility, your respect for life, and your sense of justice.
The West, for all its power, has forgotten humanity. It worships consumption, not compassion. It glorifies individualism, not community. It celebrates freedom but fears truth.
Real civilisation is what India taught – that the world is one family, Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. It’s what Africa lived – that humanity thrives in Ubuntu. It’s what Asia believed – that balance, not domination, sustains life.
The future of civilisation will not be built in Silicon Valley or Brussels. It will rise from the places that the West once dismissed as “uncivilised.” Because the true measure of civilisation is not in how much you can conquer – but in how deeply you can coexist.
So, Elon, before you talk about “civilisational partnerships” or “Western enlightenment,” remember this: barbarians don’t change when they wear suits. They just learn better manners. The West may have traded swords for satellites, but its hunger remains the same – to dominate, to control, to colonise.
And until the world learns to see beyond their costume of virtue, we will remain prisoners of the oldest illusion – that the West is civilised and the rest of us are not.
The truth? They are not civilised. They are just better dressed barbarians – selling liberation while scripting our submission.
