Giving up a well-paying job in Norway and coming back to Goa to start an IT company sounds like a gamble but that is exactly what Remmie Azavedo did.

After spending 12 years working in different roles at one of the finest companies in Oslo he decided it was time to quit and work on his dream of starting a world class IT company in his home state. This is how FabCoders was born. Today FabCoders is one of the well-known IT firms in Goa and caters to clients all around the globe.

The main product is called SwiftRetail and this a complete solution for retail stores. With over 200 different installations in Goa across various verticals like restaurants, supermarkets, salons, clothing chains, gift shops etc SwiftRetail is a high quality yet economical software that is bound to grow at a much higher pace.

With the new cloud based SAAS platform that is being developed SwiftRetail will now be targeting clients across India and taking on bigger competitors like GoFrugal, Tally etc.

FabCoders has helped a lot of offline stores to take their business online. Many clients using SwiftRetail have now been provided with an e-commerce website as well as a mobile app which customers can download and order from these stores. This has helped the stores to maintain their sales even during these tough Corona affected times.

Besides the retail software FabCoders also has developed many custom websites, iOS and android apps for various applications like fitness, vehicle tracking, grocery apps.

FabCoders is starting a new office in Mumbai, which will commence operations once the COVID situation in Mumbai comes back to normal.

Starting and running an IT company in Goa has come up with a lot of challenges over these years but Remmie is still positive about the scope for Goa being a top notch IT destination. He truly believes that Goa should move over from over dependence on tourism and mining and focus on green sectors like IT.  He wishes more Goans who are working in IT across the world take a similar step just like him of returning back to Goa and promoting IT here.

Business has been as usual for FabCoders despite the corona situation. With a bunch of eager and smart Goan software professionals, a bright leader in Remmie and good clients in US, UK, Australia , Scandinavia and Middle East the future only looks promising and positive for FabCoders.
